I would like everyone to join
me in spreading the word!
If each person can tell 50
people and they can tell 50
people, we can spread the word
all across America. Give me your information below
and I will mail you 50 cards to
give out at your favorite over
priced gas station, or other
event.
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
United we Stand, Divided we
fall:
We all have heard it, but what
does it mean? It means as
a group we have the power to
make a difference. If we
work together we can bring about
a change, we can stop having to
PAY at the pump.
Help me unite our country in a
single direction, one cause, one
purpose, to
stop relying on terrorist
supporters for oil.
If you are tired of paying $4.00 for a
gallon of gas, join me.
Isn't
enough, enough?
Alternative Fuels:
There is no doubt we need to
find and develop better sources
of energy. Every school
kid in the country is aware of
this. Alternative fuels
are out there, they just are not
practical for the most part yet.
Maybe in 20 years they will be,
but not yet.
Hybrids:
Hybrids are showing the most
promise at the moment, with
improved gas mileage and
performance. There are two
factors holding them back, first
is the cost of ownership, and
second is the fact that they
still use gas.
Electric Vehicles:
Electric vehicles are a great
alternative, however the amount
of batteries and their limited
range is hampering their wide
spread distribution at the
moment.
Hydrogen:
The serious problems that are
affecting the development of
hydrogen cars are; hydrogen
storage, the high reactivity of
hydrogen, the cost and methods
of hydrogen fuel production,
consumer demand and the cost of
changing the infrastructure to
accommodate hydrogen vehicles.
The concerns surrounding the
storage of hydrogen are a major
issue. Hydrogen must be stored
at extremely low temperatures
and high pressure. A container
capable of withstanding these
specifications is larger than a
standard gas tank. Hydrogen
storage could be viewed as a
problem by consumers.
Ethanol:
Carbon Cloud
over a Green
Fuel
[The
Christian
Science
Monitor]
Late last
year in
Goldfield,
Iowa, a
refinery
began
pumping out
a stream of
ethanol,
which
supporters
call the
clean,
renewable
fuel of the
future.
There's just
one twist:
The plant is
burning 300
tons of coal
a day to
turn corn
into ethanol
-- the first
US plant of
its kind to
use coal
instead of
cleaner
natural gas.
...At least
three other
such
refineries
are being
built in
Montana,
North
Dakota, and
Minnesota.
...Should
coal become
a standard
for 30 to 40
ethanol
plants under
construction
-- and 150
others on
the drawing
boards -- it
would
undermine
the
environmental
reasoning
for
switching to
ethanol in
the first
place,
environmentalists
say. ...
We are
making
strides and
we need to
continue,
however
until that
time we
still need
gas, and oil
and we have
to be able
to afford
it!
